On Feb. 2 at 3:01 p.m., a man allegedly was acting disorderly inside a business in the 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard when security personnel told him he needed to leave, Arlington police said.

The individual left but returned a short time later and attempted to strike the security personnel before leaving the scene on foot, police said.

Responding officers located the suspect in the vicinity and attempted to detain him, police said. The suspect was non-compliant and attempted to flee on foot, they said.

Following a brief foot pursuit, the suspect pushed an officer and resisted arrest while being taken into custody, police said.

The suspect – 34-year-old Emmanuel Toefield of no fixed address – was arrested and charged with assault on police, assault-and-battery and obstruction of justice.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries described as minor.
