Police: After attacking man, suspect hops a bus, escapes

On Sept. 6 at 8:49 p.m., a man was walking in the 2100 block of 15th Street North when he was approached by another man who engaged him in conversation, Arlington police said.

During the interaction, a verbal dispute began and the victim attempted to keep walking, police said.

The suspect approached the victim from behind and struck him, resulting in a laceration, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before boarding a bus and fleeing the scene, police said.

The victim sustained minor injuries but declined medical attention, police said.

The suspect is described as a male, 5’7” or 5’8”, with a medium build and black curly hair, wearing a white tank top and black shorts.
