ROBBERY:

• On July 12 at 8:24 a.m., a man entered a business in the 1700 block of North Pierce Street, placed merchandise into a backpack and threatened an employee before fleeing, Arlington police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, with short black hair.

• On July 12 at 1:28 p.m., a man approached an acquaintance in the 200 block of North Thomas Street and a verbal dispute ensued, Arlington police said.

During the incident, the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim and stole two phones, police said.

The suspect left the scene following the incident. Officers located and detained him in the 200 block of North Glebe Road.

The suspect – 29-year-old Keion Naylor of Arlington – was arrested and charged with robbery.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries described as serious but non-life-threatening.

• On July 16 at 4:38 p.m., three juvenile males entered a business in the 700 block of North Glebe Road and allegedly concealed merchandise before they were confronted by loss-prevention personnel, Arlington police said.

One suspect then pushed loss-prevention personnel, causing them to fall to the ground, before the suspects exited the store without paying for the goods.

A lookout for the suspects was broadcast. A responding officer observed three people matching the suspects’ descriptions and gave them commands to stop, police said.

Two suspects initially ran from the officer but subsequently complied with commands and were taken into custody in the 4100 block of 4th Street North. Petitions for robbery are pending.

The third suspect was not located, and is described as a juvenile Hispanic male wearing a yellow shirt and black shorts.

The investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT BY MOB:

• On July 17 at 12:33 p.m., four juvenile males assaulted a male followed a verbal dispute in the area of Yorktown High School, Arlington police said.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for injuries described as minor, and later was released.Petitions are pending for assault by mob for the four juvenile suspects,  police said.

RECKLESS HANDLING OF FIREARM:

• On July 13 at 12:30 a.m., individuals were inside a residence in the 800 block of South Florida Street when they heard a loud noise, Arlington police said.

Upon further investigation, residents located property damage and a bullet fragment.

No injures were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

MISSILE INTO OCCUPIED VEHICLE:

• On July 12 at 11:38 p.m., the occupants of two vehicles were involved in a dispute over driving on South Glebe Road at 19th Street South, Arlington police said.

During the dispute, one vehicle pulled alongside the other, and the passenger threw an unknown object at the victim’s vehicle, police said.

The suspect vehicle, described as a black sedan, then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic female, 20 to 30 years old, with black hair.

BURGLARY/UNLAWFUL ENTRY:

• On July 15 at 12:30 a.m., a man attempted to gain entry into a secured parking garage in the 2100 block of North Westmoreland Street, Arlington police said.

After being unable to gain entry, the suspect fled the scene on a bicycle, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male, 16 to 20 years old, 5’5” to 5’7”, with a thin build.

• On July 15 at 2:48 a.m., a woman was inside her apartment in the 3400 block of Columbia Pike when she heard the door open.

The victim yelled and the suspect, a male, left the apartment, leaving personal property behind.

• On July 15 at 8:45 a.m., a man forced entry into a secure residential parking garage in the 2100 block of North Westmoreland Street, Arlington police said.

When verbally confronted by employees, the suspect fled the scene on foot, police said. No property damage was reported.

The suspect is described as a black male.

• On July 16 at 2:53 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of 4th Street North for a report of a burglary in progress, Arlington police said.

Upon arrival, police determined that the female suspect, who is known to the victim, had approached her, engaged in a verbal dispute and entered her residence without permission, police said.

The suspect subsequently left, and no items were reported stolen or damaged.

The investigation is ongoing.

• On July 18 at 2:17 p.m., three or four individuals forced entry into a business in the 1100 block of North Glebe Road, Arlington police said.

The suspects caused property damage and rummaged through the building before fleeing the scene in a white sedan, police said.

No items were reported missing at the time of the report. No suspect descriptions were reported

VEHICLE THEFT:

• The Arlington County Police Department on July 15 reported that, on July 12, a 2008 Mack truck with Maryland plates was reported stolen from the 1800 block of North Lynn Street.

In a more typical theft, police reported on July 15 that, on July 12, a gray 2024 Chevrolet Malibu was reported stolen from the 3200 block of Washington Boulevard.

• Arlington police on July 16 reported that, on July 12, a black 2012 Honda Accord with Virginia plates was reported stolen from the 1900 block of South Eads Street.

In addition, on July 15, a silver 2016 Kia Forte with Georgia plates was reported stolen from the 800 block of 15th Street South and a gray 2018 Honda Civic with Virginia plates was reported stolen from the 1500 block of South George Mason Drive.

• Arlington police on July 19 reported that, on July 17, a white Hyundai Kona with Virginia plates was reported stolen from the 1100 block of South Hayes Street.
