'Ballroom on the Block' to bring road closures in Arlington

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department will close N. Irving Street, between Wilson Boulevard and 12thStreet N. from approximately 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27 to 2 a.m. on Sunday, July 28 to accommodate the Ballroom on the Block Festival.

Traffic is expected to be impacted in the area and motorists should seek alternate routes to reduce road congestion. Event attendees are encouraged to use Metro and other forms of multimodal transportation. The Clarendon Metro Station (Orange and Silver lines) is located within walking distance to the event.

Additional road closures not mentioned above may be implemented at police discretion in the interest of public safety. Street parking in the area will be restricted. Motorists should be on the lookout for temporary “No Parking” signs and illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed.
