Arlington Public Schools continues to draw closer to being fully staffed up in its teacher ranks.

School Board Chairman Cristina Diaz-Torres said the school system still has about 20 positions to fill, but is now 99 percent staffed up for the school year that began Aug. 28.

Diaz-Torres made her remarks at the Sept. 6 meeting of the Arlington County Democratic Committee.

More start-of-school information is likely to be reported at the Sept. 7 School Board meeting.
