The Arlington County Police Department has launched an online crime-data hub as an additional tool for residents seeking to stay informed about reported criminal incidents occurring in the community.
The site – found at https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Departments/Police-Department/Crime-Data-Hub – includes dashboards and maps on case offenses and overall arrest data.
“Using these dashboards and maps, community members can search for criminal offenses over date ranges for specific geographical areas, visualize how crime offenses have changed over time, and query overall arrest data,” county officials said.
Prior to launching the hub, the dashboards and maps were shown to various groups, and feedback was sought to ensure they reflected community needs, officials said.
