Police investigating trio of burglary, unlawful entry incidents

Suspect in one incident in custody; those in two others remain on the loose

Arlington County police are investigating a number of recent burglary/unlawful entry incidents.

• On May 1 at 4:30 a.m., a woman returned to her home in the 4500 block of 31st Street South to find jewelry missing.

No other items were reported stolen.

• On May 3 at 1 a.m., a woman forced entry into a secure maintenance room in the 3800 block of 7th Street North and stole equipment before leaving the scene.

The stolen items were recovered in the area, and responding officers identified a suspect and obtained a warrant for burglary.

• On May 3 at 10:43 p.m., a man gained access to the balcony of a residence in the 4500 block of South Four Mile Run Drive, Arlington police said.

Responding officers located the suspect on scene and took him into custody without incident.

The suspect – 36-year-old David Jackson of Arlington – was arrested and charged with unlawful entry.
