Arlington police on hunt in two separate robbery incidents

Once incident occurred in Rosslyn, the other in Crystal City

The Arlington County Police Department is investigating two recent robbery incidents, one in Rosslyn and the other in Pentagon City.

• On April 26 at 3:55 p.m., a man entered a store in the 1700 block of North Lynn Street and engaged employees in conversation before he went behind the counter and attempted to take food items, Arlington police said.

After employees confronted him, the suspect pushed two of them before exiting the store and fleeing. No injuries were reported.

The suspects are described as a black male, in his late 20s or early 30s, 5’6” to 5’8”.

• On April 26 at 6:16 p.m., three juvenile females entered a business in the 1000 block of South Hayes Street, concealed merchandise and attempted to leave, Arlington police said.

Loss-prevention personnel confronted the suspects; one of the youths struck personnel with merchandise before the group discarded the stolen items and fled the store, Arlington police said.

No injuries were reported.

Responding officers located suspects in the area and detained then. A petition for robbery was obtained for one of the suspects.
